The search is on for citizen scientists to record observations during the April 8, Total Solar Eclipse!
• Open to all ages. No experience necessary!
• Observation forms and eclipse glasses (while supplies last) available at the Gregg County Extension Office. (405 E Marshall
Avenue, Longview, TX)
• Record observations from any location in Gregg County. (Master Gardeners will be at the Longview Arboretum & Nature Center, and the JR Curtis Jr. Garden for the Blind at the Maude Cobb to answer questions during the eclipse.)
• Return Observation form to the Extension Office no later than April 15.
• All completed forms will go into a drawing for a $50 gift card

Scholarships Available
The Gregg County Master Gardener organization will offer up to two $1000 scholarships to two qualifying high school seniors from the class of 2024 who will pursue a degree in an agricultural, forestry, or horticulture-related field. Applicants must be residents of Gregg County or attend a high school located in Gregg County. Special consideration will be given to students who actively volunteer with an agriculture or garden-related program and/or have financial need. Recipients will be notified soon!
